Being raised by a parent diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder can leave lasting effects into adulthood. Often, being raised by a parent with this diagnosis leads to lasting trauma, and a struggle to identify and set boundaries in your relationship with your parent.
This 6-week support group will help participants connect with others who have had a similar experience. We will explore feelings of inadequacy, self-blame, the fear of constant criticism, as well as the cycle of idealization followed by devaluation. This group will explore boundaries and expectations of our parents, as well as how it impacts our current adult relationships.
This support group will be led by Erin Iwanusa, LCSW. Erin began working with individuals diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder over a decade ago, and quickly recognized the need for children to receive support.
