Wallace Ludel, LMSW
Psychotherapist (He/ Him/ His) Wallace Ludel is a Licensed Master of Social Work whose primary interests include grief and bereavement, explorations and constructions of identity, personal narratives, spiritual well being, anxiety, interpersonal and family dynamics, and other aspects of self-exploration. Wallace uses a strengths-based approach and believes that the therapeutic relationship is one built on curiosity and open-mindedness, and that facilitating this environment is key to the clinician’s role. He incorporates elements of CBT and helps clients to de-identify from their fears, challenge their assumptions, and reconcile the mind, body, and spirit. Prior to coming to Taproot, Wallace worked at the Center for Prolonged Grief, conducting training, research, and psychoeducation on grief and grief counseling. He was also a private grief and bereavement counselor at VNS Health. In addition to his MSW from Columbia University, he is also a writer who holds an MFA in poetry from New York University, which strengthens his fluency and interest in abstract thinking and metaphor, which are vital skills in his therapeutic repertoire. Cost for 60-minute session: $170 |
