Izzy Michels, LMSW
Psychotherapist (She /Her/ Hers) Izzy is a therapist who works with young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, and challenges in their relationships—with partners, family, friends, or themselves. She offers a warm, welcoming space for clients to explore life transitions, identity, and emotional struggles. Izzy is LGBTQ+ affirming and strives to create a nonjudgmental environment where clients from all backgrounds feel seen and supported. Her work is rooted in talk therapy and guided by a client-centered philosophy. Izzy draws from a range of therapeutic modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as solution-focused and mindfulness-based methods—tailoring her approach to best support each unique individual. She recognizes that different people benefit from different styles of therapy and works collaboratively to find what’s most helpful for each client. With a background in the performing arts as an actress and comedian, Izzy values authenticity, connection, and the role of humor in healing. She brings a down-to-earth, compassionate presence to her work and believes that showing up as your full self in therapy can be a powerful part of the growth process.
